On its website, the company provides emissions data for computers and its sustainability-linked sales rose to $3.5 billion in 2021, about 5% of total sales. For HP and Nestlé, more than 95% of their carbon footprint is Scope 3 emissions. To make Scope 3 accounting more accurate, companies can add data that comes directly from their suppliers, if it is available. Businesses can also work together with their suppliers and customers to provide some training and resources to help them get their own carbon accounting in order.
